Great shoes, but quite long.
I just received these shoes this morning, and I’m impressed like usual. This is my second pair of Chucks, my first pair were low tops, these are high tops. The red color is nice and vibrant, and the white on the shoe has a very clean look. I ordered half a size up from my last pair and they seem to be the same size, but it works. They are about two inches longer than my feet, but I hardly notice. They can be rather painful if you wear them ALL day before you break them in, and even after you break them in if you wear them for am extremely long time due to them having almost ANY arch support whatsoever. All in all these are very good shoes; ONCE you break them in to fit your foot shape a little better.

These have been a staple in America for decades. They are sturdy canvas that wears extremely well over time. The soles are rubber and glued. After extreme wear, some parts that are glued can get loosened. Shoe goo can be used to make most if not all repairs on these. So they can last longer than nearly any shoe. They make them exactly like they did decades ago, with the same quality, with one caveat, Converse, the iconic American shoes, are now made in China. This may or may not matter to you. It does matter to me, due to labor practices, and environmental standards, which is why I typically buy New Balance shoes, still made in the USA as of 2013. I’ve worn made in USA converse in the past, but never the new China-made ones. On arrival I couldn’t tell any difference in the shoe itself, just as sturdy as ever.On a side note: This particular style is pretty trendy among celebrities. My wife saw this color/style on some female singer and had to have them. Lots of female celebrities buy these “male” high-tops. Which I find interesting, it doesn’t look bad at all, but it definitely screams trendiness to me. You can google “celebrity Converse” to find pictures of the myriad of celebs who don Converse. If you do or do not want to be trendy, is your call, but these are definitely being revived in current “pop culture”. To my wife, that is great, emulating her favorite artist, to me, I wouldn’t be caught dead in them due to that reason alone. Although I thought about buying a matching pair just to confuse her, and be “that” weird matching couple, since pop culture has made them unisex lol.Hope that helps!

Very High Quality Shoes
These shoes have been on my wishlist for a while but I’m glad I purchased them. I wear a size 13 Men’s and these fit perfectly. The color looks really clean and crisp, particularly with the red and blue stripe. They are comfortable for walking around in for quite some time and I’ve found them comfortable to ride my skateboard in. These are exactly what I wanted when I ordered the product.

First Pair of Chuck’s and I now know what I’ve been missing!
I’ve never before owned a pair of Chuck’s, but have had many friends with them. I now see what I’ve been missing out on! I don’t typically go for high-top shoes, but I really enjoy these. They are really comfortable and light-weight. Not only that, but they look fantastic! I’m on my feet a lot and have thus far had no problems. They are a little snug to put on at first, but that becomes less of a problem after a couple of wears. I’ll probably invest in another pair in a different color later on.

Black Chuck Taylor Hi-Tops are always an excellent choice for some style, but if you wear them daily for everything that you do (e.g. exercise, walk around, bike, as “rain boots,” etc.) you’ll find that they only last so long. For me, they usually will last anywhere from four to nine months before I have to buy a new pair. This of course does get expensive. I would recommend having these as an additional pair of shoes to go with a pair of Doc Martens or something. You can have the sturdy and the stylish within two pairs.
